Felton, Berlin & Erdmann is a Massachusetts based insurance brokerage firm. Our only business is the design and implementation of sophisticated personal property and casualty insurance programs which serve a nationwide clientele. We constantly distinguish ourselves through our three pronged approach: we offer our clients unparalleled levels of customer service; we enjoy privileged partnerships with virtually every major insurance carrier competing in the affluent client arena, and most important--our extremely talented and experienced staff (average F, B & E tenure 18 years) has an intuitive ability to find value for their clients without ever sacrificing quality and breadth of coverage.
Our firm was founded in 1985 by three (then) young men who collectively enjoyed expertise in the personal lines, commercial lines and life and health disciplines. Over the next twenty years, the firm grew and prospered thanks to the loyalty of a growing clientele who facilitated our ascendance through active referral. While both our commercial and benefits departments thrived, it eventually became clear that the cornerstone of the firm¹s success-our core competency, was, and is our ability to provide our clients "state of the art" personal insurance programs. For the last decade, personal lines has been our sole and primary focus. This fact is underscored by our founding of Platinum Partners Insurance Services, a separate, yet commonly owned sister business to F, B & E, which, in eight years has grown to be a highly successful and profitable wholesale personal lines brokerage. Both our wholesale and retail operations market an identical array of personal lines products. Our three pronged approach remains the mission statement for both enterprises.
Now in our twenty-seventh year, Richard Berlin, one of the firm¹s founding partners remains active, serving as CEO of both firms, where he is joined by Robert Erdmann, who is now a partner and serves as president of F, B & E. In addition, Timothy DeRosa joins Berlin as a partner in Platinum Partners and serves as that firm¹s president.
